Ecodan air/water heat pumps
Whether it's a single-family home, a commercial property, or a large residential project: Ecodan heat pumps are an efficient and future-proof solution for heating and hot water production.
Control of two heating circuits
The Ecodan heat pump can control two heating circuits with different flow temperatures, thus controlling two different heat consumers, such as radiators and underfloor heating. Furthermore, the mixing valve control has been optimized to improve comfort in the second zone by prioritizing the heat stored in the buffer tank. This avoids frequent switching of the heat pump on and off in a two-zone system.
Layered heating of domestic hot water
In appliances with an integrated hot water tank, the water is heated continuously using a flow-through process. The water is heated by a separate, built-in plate heat exchanger. The cold water is pumped from the lower part of the tank by a small circulation pump and, after heating, flows to the upper part of the tank. Hot water is then drawn from the upper part. Using this heating technology allows the volume of the appliance to be reduced, which is not possible if the appliance must be equipped with a heat exchanger.

The patented Zubadan inverter technology is currently the optimal solution for air-to-water heat pumps. The Zubadan refrigerant circuit with HIC subcooler and compressor with flash injection enables stabilization of the refrigerant flow even at low outside temperatures. This means the system can operate at full capacity even at -15°C. Even at -28°C, the heat pump is capable of efficient and reliable operation. This means that with Zubadan technology, it is by no means necessary to oversize the system to maintain a safety margin during heating operation.
Flash injection
Mitsubishi Electric's Flash Injection technology is the key to high heating performance at low outside temperatures

Elegant design and compact size
PUD outdoor units with R32 refrigerant utilize a single fan housing. The units feature an elegant and unique design, which won the 2018 Red Dot Award. With a single fan, they fit easily into any outdoor space. The reduced number of fans and a special dual-chamber compressor insulation system significantly reduce the units' noise levels.
High flow temperature
Zubadan R32 outdoor units achieve high flow temperatures, even in severe frost, without the use of electric heating elements. Their flow temperatures reach a maximum of 60°C at outdoor temperatures down to -7°C and a maximum of 55°C at -15°C.
