The Bosch Climate 3200i actively cools, heats and purifies the indoor air. The set combines the CL3200iU W 70 E indoor unit with the CL3000i 70 E outdoor unit. Compared to the 3000i series, it also features an ionizer and a biofilter for air purification. The inverter compressor continuously adjusts its output instead of constantly switching on and off, which reduces power consumption and keeps the room temperature constant. As a guideline, this power class is suitable for rooms of approximately 55 to 70 m²^*.

Performance and range of application

The set delivers 7.0 kW of cooling and 7.3 kW of heating capacity, which corresponds to around 24,000 BTU. In cooling mode, the system operates at outdoor temperatures between minus 15 and plus 50 °C, and in heating mode between minus 20 and plus 24 °C. This makes it one of the larger single-split classes and suitable for open living areas, retail spaces and offices.

The stated area of approximately 55 to 70 m²^* is a guideline for standard room height and normal insulation standards, not a binding design. Which power class is right for your property depends on room height, insulation standards, window areas, shading, as well as the number of people and devices. An undersized system will run continuously at full load, while an oversized one will cycle and consume electricity unnecessarily. We can check the appropriate design for your property upon request.

Inverter and heat pump operation

The inverter compressor adjusts its speed to the actual demand. At start-up, the system runs at high power, then reduces to the required power and maintains the temperature without noticeable fluctuations. In heating mode, the device operates as an air-to-air heat pump and uses the heat from the outdoor air down to minus 20 °C.

Air quality and purification

The ionizer and biofilter purify the indoor air and are the features that set the 3200i series apart from the 3000i series. In addition, there is an HD filter and a catalytic filter. The iClean self-cleaning function freezes the heat exchanger and then quickly defrosts it, which loosens adhering dust, mold and grease.

What sets the 3200i series apart from the 3000i series?

The 3200i offers the same range of functions as the 3000i, with the addition of an ionizer and a biofilter for air purification. The other functions, such as inverter operation, iClean and Follow-Me, are available in both series.

Is the installation set included in the price?

The installation set is an optional addition and can be added via the variant selection. Without a selected installation set, the delivery includes only the indoor unit, outdoor unit and remote control. The set is available in lengths of 3 to 12 meters.

What pipe connections does the device have?

The connections are 9.52 mm for the liquid line, i.e., 3/8 inch, and 15.9 mm for the gas line, i.e., 5/8 inch. The optional installation set is designed for these sizes.

Can I use the device for heating in winter?

Heating mode is possible down to an outdoor temperature of minus 20 °C. The available power decreases as the outdoor temperature falls, which is why the system is suitable as a supplement to an existing heating system.

How loud is the device?

Depending on the fan speed, the indoor unit operates between 21 and 46 dB(A). The manufacturer specifies 60 dB(A) for the outdoor unit, which corresponds to the usual value for this power class.

Can I install the air conditioner myself?

The installation and commissioning of a split air conditioner are carried out by a certified specialist company. Self-installation is not intended.
