Performance and range

The set delivers 3.5 kW cooling and 4.0 kW heating capacity, which corresponds to around 12,000 BTU. The heating capacity is therefore higher than the cooling capacity. Cooling is possible at outdoor temperatures from minus 10 to plus 48 °C, and heating from minus 10 to plus 24 °C. With an SEER of 6.6 and an SCOP of 4.0, the system achieves energy efficiency class A++ in cooling and A+ in heating.

The stated area of approximately 27 to 35 m²^* is a guideline for standard room height and normal insulation standards, not a binding design. Which power class is right for your property depends on room height, insulation standards, window areas, shading, as well as the number of people and devices. An undersized system will run continuously at full load, while an oversized one will cycle and consume electricity unnecessarily. We can check the appropriate design for your property upon request.

Inverter and heat pump operation

The inverter compressor adjusts its speed to the actual demand instead of constantly switching on and off. This reduces power consumption and keeps the room temperature constant. The fast heating function and powerful cooling quickly bring the room to the desired temperature. In heating mode, the device operates as an air-to-air heat pump and uses the warmth of the outdoor air down to minus 10 °C.

Air quality and purification

The automatic cleaning function dries the indoor unit after operation, thereby preventing odors and deposits on the heat exchanger. It runs automatically and does not need to be started.

Control and comfort

Control is via the LG ThinQ app and is available from the factory. A separate Wi-Fi module or gateway is not required. A remote control is also included.

Why does the device carry two different model designations?

LG has changed the designations for this series. S12EC became EZ12CYN, the indoor unit S12EC.NSJS became EZ12CYN.CSJ1, and the outdoor unit S12EC.UA3S became EZ12CYU.CA31. It is the same device with the same technical specifications. Depending on the delivery, the old or new designation may be on the type plate.

Is the installation set included in the price?

The installation set is an optional addition and is added via the variant selection. Without a selected installation set, the delivery includes only the indoor unit, outdoor unit, and remote control. The set is available in lengths of 3 to 12 meters.

Do I need an additional Wi-Fi module for app control?

No. The connection to the LG ThinQ app is available from the factory. A separate Wi-Fi module or gateway is not required. You only need a Wi-Fi network at the installation site.

How far apart can the indoor and outdoor units be?

The manufacturer specifies a line length of at least 3 and at most 15 m. The optional installation set is available in lengths of 3 to 12 meters.

How loud is the device?

The indoor unit operates in cooling mode at 19, 27, 35, or 41 dB(A) depending on the level, with 19 dB(A) corresponding to sleep mode. In heating mode, the values are 27, 35, and 41 dB(A). For the outdoor unit, the manufacturer specifies 48 dB(A) in cooling and 50 dB(A) in heating.

Can I install the air conditioner myself?

The installation and commissioning of a split air conditioner is carried out by a certified specialist company. Self-installation is not intended.
